Sarah Yeung

Sarah Yeung is Gather Center’s second Artist in Residence sharing in upcoming group exhibition Resonance along with her sound arts and Reiki Master presence. Yeung’s interdisciplinary work bridges art and wellbeing, East and West, ancient and modern traditions. She weaves sound, movement, energy practices, and contemplative arts into transformative experiences for individuals and communities. Yeung is founder of SKY Sound Yoga, certified as a sound healing practitioner, Reiki master teacher, registered yoga teacher (e-RYT 500), and holistic wellness coach. She holds Bachelor’s of Science and Master’s of Science from Cornell University.

Especially known for her expertise in Tibetan singing bowls, Yeung recently returned to the U.S. after months of immersion in Japan, Macao, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam and her hometown Hong Kong.  Yeung’s presence as Artist-in-Residence for summer 2026 explores new collaborations across Resonance, part of Gather Center’s recurring annual cycle.  Proposing our becoming as a consciousness spiral, Resonance is situated between Awakening (Spring) and Alignment (Fall) supporting Gather’s mission with individual empowerment and unity consciousness.

Sarah’s path into healing began nearly twenty years ago during inpatient rehabilitation, a profound turning point shifting her trajectory away from business and toward holistic healing. A trauma survivor in long term recovery, she brings a deeply compassionate, trauma-conscious approach to her offerings, specializing in stress reduction, mental health support, and emotional healing.

Yeung continues her relationship with healing through therapeutic and transformative sound and vibration offerings, somatic movements, and energy work across the world. Trained in multiple lineages, Yeung has studied with masters from Nepal and Tibet. Her work explores how sound, resonance, and artistic expression can restore balance, expand inner awareness, and cultivate embodied presence.

Passionate about inclusive community building, she guides individuals to reconnect with their innate capacities, embrace their authentic journeys, and return to a natural state of balance in an overstimulated modern world. In addition to individual sessions and group classes, she collaborates with organizations, such as museums, hospitals, cultural and educational institutions, and companies, to design customized programs and serve as a teaching artist.

As a published writer and interdisciplinary artist, Sarah’s recent creative work explores transmutation, the interplay between physical and ethereal realms, and the dissolution of perceived boundaries, such as between disciplines/modalities, identities, and dualistic juxtapositions.

In 2026, Sarah has presented at conferences including Art Heals – an art and health symposium hosted by New Jersey State Council on the Arts, Zimmerli Art Museum, Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, Middlesex County, Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art at the University of Oregon, Middlesex County Arts, and NYC MoMA – and Vegetarian Food Asia & Vitality Living Asia – the region’s largest green-living and fitness expo with over 1,000 exhibitors and 50,000 attendees.
